The City of Oceanside currently has 2 Memorial Programs available to provide the public with an opportunity to honor loved ones.

• Memorial Brick Program
• Memorial Bench Program (available only in the Harbor area)

Both programs are for memorial purposes only and not for commemoration. Please see below for information on each program.

Memorial Brick Program

Brick Size and Cost: The brick is made of red clay (7 5/8” x 3 5/8” x 1 1/4”) and can be purchased for $150, which includes the cost of both customization and installation. The size of the brick can accommodate up to 3 lines of text with 20 characters per line. Unfortunately, no artwork is allowed. All text must be pre-approved by the City.

The requestor is responsible for all costs, and the brick must be purchased through and installed by the City. The City will assume full responsibility for the upkeep, care, and maintenance throughout the brick’s lifetime. The City will retain the right to dispose of the brick when it is no longer cost effective to maintain it. If the brick becomes damaged or deteriorated, the donor will be given an opportunity to replace the brick at their cost.

Location: Memorial bricks will be placed along the walkway on Pacific Street near the entrance to the Pier, with the exact location determined by the City. The City will order the brick once there are multiple orders, which may take a few weeks.

Please complete the Gift Acceptance Agreement to request a memorial brick. Upon submission, you will receive a confirmation email with a link to the payment page. Both the Gift Acceptance Agreement and payment must be submitted for your request to be processed.
